The story behind LB12 Academy
Luther Burrell grew up in Yorkshire and worked his way through the professional game, earning his England debut and going on to win 16 international caps. Along the way he claimed Premiership titles and a European Cup, and was awarded the honour of representing the Barbarians.
After a career that took him from Sale Sharks to Northampton Saints and beyond, Luther made a decision that defined everything that came next: to put his experience, his platform and his name to work for the next generation.
LB12 Academy was born from that decision.
Today, Luther works directly with young people across the North of England, delivering rugby coaching and mentoring that combines sporting excellence with real talk about confidence, identity, belonging and resilience.
